This is a superbly comfortable and beautifully maintained cottage. It was a pleasure to stay here. Best nights sleep we've had for years! The drive to and from the cottage is either side of the loch and single road, but also a pleasure as the views of the loch are just great. Allow time to keep stopping to take photos! We had a red squirrel at the front of the property, grouses lekking along side the loch, and the lovely Pier Café for fresh homemade cakes. For peace, quiet and comfort, we would totally recommend.

What a fantastic cottage, I did not want to go home, quality of furnishing 10 out of 10. Location 10 out of 10. If you want to leave the rat race behind you, then you must book the cottage. We had the good fortune to meet the owners, they could not do enough for us and we thank them for the wonderful holiday we had.

What a lovely cottage and views. Highly recommend. Thanks for the lovely card and biscuits. We have had a lovely week. Good weather as well. Everything perfect. I think the dogs will be glad to go home, too much exercise! 10/10 thank you.

Dear Karen and Michael
What a wonderful cottage, and a beautiful area. Saw the deer and frogs but unfortunately not the badger or the red squirrel. Karen thank you for your kindness. Much appreciated.

A really stunning place to stay. Thank you so much for the personal touches - flowers, biscuits and greeting card. We had gorgeous weather on Sunday and decided to walk to the far pier and back. That's a long walk! Very nice cottage which had everything we needed. Luna, really enjoyed her various walks. Stunning views (even after all the rain on Friday). We had a dry spell and went around looking at the many waterfalls. Watch where you walk as so many frogs. Didn't see the badger though. Thanks again.

This is our first trip to Scotland. Loved our stay in Karen and Michael's beautiful cottage. Slept really well. Loved the walks and my little dog was well behaved and enjoyed her stay. Everywhere we went people were friendly. All our photos will be posted on Facebook so all our friends will know where we have been and how lovely it is in Glengyle. Thank you.

We have had a delightful week in their beautiful area. It was such a pleasant surprise as had no idea what to expect. We have had wonderful walks and great meals at the Pier Cafe - highly recommended (wonderful banoffee cheesecake!). The cottage was very comfortable - great bed, loved waking up and listening to the birds signing. Looking forward already to a return visit. P.S. Don't forget to put something out for the badger! He will turn up outside your window between 8:30/9pm- a real treat to watch.

Dear Karen and Michael
Thank you!!! Your welcome was very warm and welcoming and your information and directions invaluable! The cottage is beautiful, very well equipped and the bed is the most comfortable in any holiday cottage we've ever stayed in. We saw the badger. He came nightly to feed on the nuts, fruit and bread we out our for him. There were loads of chaffinches, great tits, blue tits, coal tits, a robin, blackbirds and a pied wagtail. We got some great pics! We saw only 1 red squirrel and 1 deer and we had a lovely time and will return. Again many thanks!

A wonderful welcome greeted us in this cosy cottage in the form of a beautiful bouquet of flowers and card. We felt at home immediately. The cottage has everything we could have asked for and more. The mosquito repellent came in very handy thank you so much. The location of the Jacobite cottage is remarkable with beautiful views across this astonishing Loch. We have traveled North and explored locally as well walking & fishing. There really is something for everyone in this majestic part of the country. Thank you so so much.

Many thanks Karen for your hospitality. It's quite a trek to and from the cottage around the Loch but worth it once on the other side. Scenery is breath-taking, very green, mostly wet this week & coming from flat Norfolk we found the hills and mountains a bit of a challenge but nonetheless we've had a most enjoyable & relaxing time here. The cottage itself is beautifully presented & well equipped.

Fantastic, very well equipped cottage in beautiful location; peaceful and scenic. Ideal for recharging your batteries. Bed extremely comfortable but I was cooking under the 13.5 tog quilt. Brig O Turk & The Byrne Inn food was fantastic. Thank you Karen & Michael for all the little things supplied that are easy to overlook.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this compact, cosy cottage. Well thought out kitchen area and entire kitchen well equipped. Good to have wifi connection which worked well. Really appreciated some of the extra touches in the cottage that were left for us (flowers tea/coffee etc).

Its location is excellent for walks in the area. Its good to have a virtually traffic free road alongside allowing safe walks nearby. A few miles away there are good walks from the pier at Stronachlachar, Balquidder, Aberfoyle, Loch Ard and more. We were fortunate with the weather, no rain at all which made it that much more enjoyable. In fact we loved the place so much that we negotiated with Karen to stay another night. Almost certain to be back at some time. Hope everyone else enjoys it as much as we did.

I am overwhelmed by the beauty of this place. We are so used to visiting Loch Lomond and appreciate its beauty but Glengyle is one level up. Beautiful walks surround this accommodation Karen and Michael are very lucky to own such a magical place. The accommodation was simply fantastic. Everything you could possibly want and need for an excellent holiday has been catered for. Love the fact that the internet connection is so reliable and fast. Plenty of hot water and the bed is so comfortable. Martyn thinks that the smoke alarm should be moved but I think he is a bad cook. Just hope he doesn’t see this comment or I will need to start making my own dinners. Thanks again for being so nice to us. Appreciated lovely card and wine.
